So Sweet

Today when Scotty left for work Kahlan ran and got him her baby doll Lexi.

“Daddy, Lexi wants to go to work with you so you won’t be lonely for me!”

Oh my gosh, she is such a sweet little girl. I love her with all my heart.

I also think its funny that my big strong husband took a baby doll with him to work today even though I’m pretty sure Lexi will be spending her day in the car. Don’t tell Kahlan!

Dear Grandma…

Dear Grandma-

I am really missing you. I have decided I do not like it when you go on vacation!

I just want you to know that today Mommy let me wear my new socks that you got me. I was so excited. I told Mommy none of the little girls at school wear white socks they all wear socks with something on them. I can’t wait to go to school and show my friends the socks you got me.

I miss you Grandma. Please come home soon. I don’t like you in Tennessippi! (Also known as Tennessee & Missisippi)

It’s fall in Wisconsin. The air is crisp, the colors are changing, and this weekend the sun was shining although the temperature was cool.

Fall is my absolute favorite season. I love EVERYTHING about fall. I love snuggling up on the couch with a warm blanket, I love the sound of crunchy leaves under my feet, I love hot cocoa, sweatshirts & jeans, Carmel apples and apple pie. I love fall television premiers, wearing cute boots, reading in front of the fire, going to the pumpkin patch.

I also love getting our annual fall family picture taken. Seeing new photos on my mantel makes me smile all winter long. And I think we got a great one this year!

I’m so happy with how they turned out and I’m even more excited about all the exciting fall things we have planned in the weeks to come!

Thanks Dad!

The other day Kahlan was talking to my dad about sisters and my dad told Kahlan that it was okay that she didn’t have a sister because Kahlan was very special.

Since my daughter doesn’t forget anything a couple of days ago we were in the car and she said, “Mama, Aunt Jacki is Daddy’s sister and Auntie Megan is your sister”. To which I agreed. And then, “Mama, I no have a sister. It’s because I’m SPECIAL! Mama, you no special!”

Thanks Dad! Really glad that this backfired on me!
